The Earth Keepers are Composting!

Worms Eat Our Garbage!

The Earth Keepers are spreading the word and feeling heard about keeping our
Earth 'Green and Clean!'

A huge thank you to the support from faculty and interns at The Environmental Interpretive Center who educated us about composting and donated a Worm Bin/Vermicompost bin and red worms. A brief presentation on the importance of composting supports the classroom of Earth Keepers on cutting down waste. The children learned about red worms and how they can eat our garbage and produce manure. We are continuing to use our compost bin and plan to put the manure in our school garden. Taking care of worms is easier than we thought! If you would like to start your own worm bin the book, Worms Eat My Garbage by Mary Appelhof, explains it all. Thank you again to all the members at the EIC!
